BREAKING: Tsavo National Park On Fire, voi Residents in Fear!

Today (5/29/2020) , fire erupted in the Tsavo East national park. The cause is still unclear this has sent many residents to speculate and hypothesize on the matter.

Efforts to reach the relevant regional KWS bodies have been futile.

Following this incidence, however, the residents of Taita Taveta county especially those in Voi town and residing close to the Tsavo East National park have expressed worry that this might cause a rise to human-wildlife conflict since wild animals in the affected areas within the park may potentially be scared and may subsequently exit to safe grounds, perhaps towards the human settlement areas such as around Mabomani and Mwakingali Estates, which barely border the park.

They have  been urged to be on the lookout and take care before the facts are established, disruptions realized and appropriate measures set to curb any consequences as a result
