SOTE HUB, hosts evaluators from Andela-Nairobi in it’s second succesful idea evaluation event.

On Saturday 23rd Jan, SOTE opened its doors to interested youth with brilliant ideas they were willing to turn into businesses. Not only was it open to the high school graduates but also to undergraduates with the same interests

It was the second stage of evaluation and commenced mid-morning with the opening remarks from the center manager Mr. Harry Mwailengo amongst other Hub officials Gift Mtambo, Robert Mburu and Lucia Muthoni

The event was graced by representatives from ANDELA Nairobi who were the chief guests of the day.

The chief evaluator Mr. JAMES NDIGA College came alongside his mate, Mr. Stanley Ndagi, a former student of TAITA TAVETA University.
Both gentlemen listened intently to the various presenters throughout the session and consequently gave valuable insights through comments, correction, additions and various recommendations amid the presentations

The presenters were reminded of skills on making effective presentations and pitches within the shortest time possible.

13 brilliant presentations made it through in the evaluation of startup ideas.
Interestingly the chief-guest of the day took a special interest in one of the presentations since it was more or less in line with what  his company does back in Nairobi.  Later on, while giving his recommendations, he promised to work together with the start up owners by helping them realize their dream and even foresaw a partnership deal.

The event culminated with final words from both team ANDELA representatives as well as the hub’s manager.
