TTU Vice Chancellor Prof. Fred Simuyu Barasa has announced that the University will offer full bachelors degree sponsorship for two KCSE candidates (a boy and a girl) who will emerge the best in this year’s KCSE among the ones who attended the just concluded Fourth Mentor-ship and Leadership Camp 2019 held at the University.
The sponsorship by the University is part of its interventions that are geared towards improving academic outcomes within Taita Taveta County and the Country at large.
The 3 days camp which was organized by the Undugu Mentorship Initiative in collaboration with the University brought together KCSE Candidates (high academic achievers) from all secondary schools from Wundanyi Constituency.
The initiatives aims at increasing the number of students attaining university entry grades through bringing together top KCSE examiners and markers to prepare the students in writing exams. The candidates are exposed to the university environment in a bid to psyche them for hard work so that none misses to join university the coming year. The candidates are equally motivated and inspired to live responsible lives to shape their thinking as future leaders.
One of the speakers during the camp was the recently crowned best mathematics teachers runners up in Kenya Madam Mabuti.
