Taita Taveta County First Lady, Hope Mruttu has overseen the launch of mobile clinic services at the mining sites of Mkuki. This follows a request for the services by the miners lodged during the recent CS visit who was accompanied by top county government officials.
Speaking during the exercise, the County’s first lady affirmed the County Government’s resolve to empower its people by addressing their pressing needs and engaging in key areas of focus to improve their welfare.
“The County Government is committed to empower you and make sure that your welfare is taken care of as you undertake your responsibilities of building yourselves and the County” said Mrs. Mruttu.
She said that the County Government is committed to see the needs of the people addressed and that no one is discriminated in the process of dispensing of its services.
“The County Government’s business is to improve the welfare of its people by addressing their needs and that’s why I am here today to officiate the launch of this medical service that you had earlier requested for. We don’t want one anyone to feel marginalized in accessing services being offered by the County government” she said.
She also urged residents to take part in the ongoing voter registration exercise and was later taken round the mining sites to have a feel of the activity.
