Boys, what really is your problem?

There are some behaviors that men of this generation have adopted. I can’t quite tell if the men during our grandmothers’ and mothers’ time had such behaviors, but let me concentrate on my own generation. These traits aren’t the traits you would want your partner, brother or son to adopt in any case, and if you have not heard your girls or sister complaining about it, then you are lucky. Where did etiquette go, because I believe each parent has a goal that involves bringing up their children with the best morals? But we cannot blame them can we? How they are brought up is up to the parent but the path of behavior they choose to dwell in is up to the individual.

So what am I talking about? Ladies am very sure you can relate with these queer and funny behaviors. Ever walked on the streets and heard some whistles from either truck drivers or boda boda operators? Or let me use the one that many might quite relate with like passing through a group of boys and then you hear some whispers like, ‘eeenh buda huyu amebeba vinoma’ or something like, can they join you in whatever place you are going and some funny phrases that I know are already ringing in your mind. Don’t these characters annoy you so much? Because for me they do and that is what prompted me to pen this article down. Do ‘boys’ and its boys because men do not have time to act like that. Only boys who do not have manners or don’t understand the consequences of their actions can do that.

This has become an alarming thing and it is something that needs to be handled because day in day out it keeps getting worse and these boyish behaviors keep rubbing off to old men who are now perfecting it better. The question that these small boys and old men need to ask themselves is if they would want their girls to be treated with little to no respect at all. I bet if asked they would all say it’s an unacceptable behaviors. It is surprising how when the tables are turned everyone wants to be on the good side. These types of behaviors are a sign of the little respect that they not only show the women but also to themselves. A gentleman knows how to approach a lady and whisper to her, they know the right words to lure a woman into giving them a chance and not mumble silly words that end up annoying and ruining their chances to getting a date.

All this comes down to you as an individual. Funny enough, the courage gathered by most of these boys is when they have back up but when they are alone the courage gets swept by the wind. This is not to call out anyone but to just tell you how angry and annoying your behavior is. But unfortunately there are some women or should I say girls that fancy these kinds of behaviors and this is what gets these boys more enticed. I believe these behaviors should stop, it could get you a girl for the night but not a girl for a lifetime. Times are changing and it will get to a point where people will get sued for such behaviors because some get to assault. Men need to change these behaviors or they will keep rubbing it off to the young and the growing generation.
