SOTE HUB, hosts evaluators from Andela-Nairobi in it’s second succesful idea evaluation event.

On Saturday 23rd JAN, SOTE opened its doors to interested youth with brilliant ideas they were willing to turn into businesses. Not only was it open to the high school graduates but also to undergraduates that had the same interests

It was the second stage of evaluation and commenced mid-morning with the opening remarks from by the center manager Mr. Harry Mwailengo amongst other Hub officials Gift Mtambo, Robert Mburu and Lucia Muthoni

The event was graced by representatives from ANDELA Nairobi who were the chief guests of the day.

The chief evaluator Mr. JAMES NDIGA College came alongside his mate, Mr. Stanley Ndagi, a former student of TAITA TAVETA University.
Both gentlemen listened intently to the various presenters throughout the session and consequently gave valuable insights through comments, correction, additions and various recommendations amid the presentations

The presenters were reminded of skills on making effective presentations and pitches within the shortest time possible.

13 brilliant presentations were made in this second edition of evaluation of the startup ideas.
Interestingly the chief-guest of the day had a special interest in one of the startups since it was more or less in line with what he and his company does back in Nairobi.  Later on, while giving his recommendations, he promised to work together with the tart up owners in making them realize their dream and even foresaw a partnership deal.

The event culminated with final words from both team ANDELArepresentatives as well as the hub’s manager.

Basically it was a success and the presenters definitely got more quipped for the 3rd stage of evaluation scheduled for a future date.

Later on after the morning session, the SOTE HUB team welcomed another  group of high school students and took them through the hubs regular Saturday programs .
